Berkner closes v Melissa

Berkner closed the season-opening Princeton tournament with a single game v Melissa HS. After retiring the first 2 Melissa batters on 2 total pitches walks and throwing errors cost the Rams as they dropped the game 14-4. The Rams start the season 0-5 and will look to rebound in the Mesquite tournament next weekend.

Berkner v Terrell

In the nightcap of day 2 of the season-opening Princeton tournament Berkner faced Terrell HS. Sr Logan Ehr manned the bump for the Rams. Terrell’s bats approached the game early with uncanny aggressiveness and built a 6-1 lead that they’d translate to a 7-3 victory. Tomorrow Berkner closes the tournament v Melissa HS.

Berkner sees familiar foe Lakeview Centennial

Jr Inf/Pitcher Bryce Drayton toed the rubber for Berkner as he drew familiar foe Lakeview. Unfortunately, multiple errors behind Drayton staked the Patriots to a comfortable lead and from there Berkner would drop the game 12-1. Berkner will face Terrell HS next.

Berkner faces Princeton

In game 2 of their season-opening double-header Berkner squared off against tournament host Princeton at Princeton HS. On a strong outing by Jr Alexis Munoz Berkner was down 1-0 with 1 out in the bottom of the fourth when Jr CF Cole Hill caught a fly ball and hosed a Princeton runner trying to advance home on the catch. Berkner knotted the game at 1 apiece in the 5th when in the bottom of the 6th Princeton laced a double down the left field line to plate the winning run, 2-1. Berkner returns to action tomorrow with another double-header v Lakeview Centennial and Terrell HS’s, respectively.

Berkner opens season v Frisco Heritage

Berkner baseball opened their season Thursday in the first half of a double-header v Frisco Heritage. In difficult off and on rainy conditions Berkner faced phenomenal pitching dropping the game 10-0. Berkner will turn around and play tournament host Princeton HS next.

The Freshman Rams executed their offense well for the majority of the game. Unfortunately poor tackling allowed Richardson to score several easy touchdowns and keep a comfortable lead. The Rams touchdowns were scored by Jalen Watson and Nathan Williams.

Berkner Freshman Football

Your Freshman Rams traveled to Wilmer-Hutchins High School on Wednesday to face off against the Dallas Molina Jaguars. Berkner’s Donovan Taylor received the opening kick and returned it for a touchdown. The Freshmen would follow with strong defense and ample offensive opportunities yielding scores by Nathan Williams, Omorion Barnes, Nick Hallmon, Gabriel Perez, & Vincent Green.

Rams Fall to Mustangs

The Rams faced off versus the JJ Pearce Mustangs on Friday October 13. Quarterback Brayden Pokropinski threw for 64 yards and ran for 83 and a touchdown. Running Back Urie Welch ran for 44 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Daaron Loveless had an interception on the night for the Ram Defense. Berkner fell short in the game 24-35. This week, the Rams will take on the Molina Jaguars Friday, October 19 at 7:30pm at Ram-Wildcat Stadium. Students, for $5 you can ride the Berkner Fan Bus to and from the game. This cost covers your ticket to the game as well. Come out to homecoming, have fun, and support your Rams.
